About me
Mara graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in Spanish and certificates in TESOL and Global Cultures. She taught for six years in Boston Public Schools, focusing on upper elementary English. Passionate about empowering students, Mara moved to Seattle in 2021 to pursue a Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on Language, Literacy, and Culture at the University of Washington. During grad school, she worked in various school-based roles before becoming the Customer Manager for Washington at BurlingtonEnglish.
