Rick Kabua is the Marshallese Student Support Specialist for Spokane Public Schools and a founding member of the Marshallese Heritage Language Advisory Board. He is originally from the capital atoll of Majuro in the Ratak chain of the Marshall Islands and is the president of the Marshallese Community Advisory in Spokane, Washington. He is a member of the House of Iroj, direct descendant of Kabua the Great, and family to Amata Kabua, Iroj and first president of the Marshall Islands.
